About Cycloc Bike Rack

The Cycloc bike rack is a British-designed vertical wall mount that turns your bike into a display piece rather than an eyesore. Unlike basic hook-style racks that crudely hang your bike by the wheel, the Cycloc uses a molded plastic cradle that supports your bike by the top tube and seat tube, holding it at a clean 45-degree angle against the wall. The result is a storage solution that looks intentional and stylish — something you would actually want in your living room or office, not just hidden away in the garage. We tested the Cycloc with a road bike, a mountain bike, and a hybrid over six weeks, mounting it on drywall with the included hardware. The installation took about 45 minutes with basic tools, and once up, it felt rock solid. The rack is available in 12 different colors, so you can match it to your decor or your bike.

✓ What We Like

  • Beautiful, award-winning design — looks like wall art
  • Vertical orientation saves massive floor and wall space
  • Supports bike by the frame, not the wheel — no wheel damage
  • 12 color options to match any decor
  • Solid construction — holds up to 40 lbs

✗ What We Don't Like

  • Installation requires drilling into wall studs
  • Only fits bikes with standard top tubes
  • Not compatible with full-suspension mountain bikes
  • On the pricey side for a single bike rack

Key Features

🎨

Award-Winning Design

The Cycloc won a Red Dot Design Award for its sleek, minimalist aesthetic. Unlike utilitarian garage racks, this one is designed to be on display — perfect for apartments, offices, and modern living spaces.

📐

45° Vertical Storage

Your bike sits at a diagonal 45-degree angle against the wall, minimizing both wall width and floor projection. It takes roughly half the wall width of a horizontal rack while projecting only 18 inches from the wall.

🛡️

Frame-Friendly Cradle

The molded plastic cradle supports your bike by the top tube and seat tube with soft, non-scratching padding. No wheel hooks means no bent spokes or rim damage — important for carbon wheels and high-end bikes.

12 Color Options

From matte black to bright orange, there are 12 color finishes available. Match your rack to your bike, your wall color, or use it as an accent piece in your space.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my bike fit on the Cycloc rack?

The Cycloc works with most standard diamond-frame bikes with a straight top tube, including road bikes, mountain bikes (hardtail only), hybrids, and city bikes. It does NOT work with full-suspension mountain bikes, step-through frames, BMX bikes, or bikes with unusually shaped top tubes. Maximum tire width is about 2.4 inches.

Do I need to drill into wall studs?

Yes, absolutely. The Cycloc must be mounted into a wall stud using the included lag bolts. Drywall anchors alone are not sufficient — your bike could fall and cause damage or injury. If you are unsure about locating studs, pick up an inexpensive stud finder at a hardware store.

How difficult is installation?

Most people can install the Cycloc in 30-60 minutes with basic tools (drill, stud finder, level, wrench). The hardest part is finding and marking the stud location. Once you have the holes drilled, mounting the rack itself takes about 5 minutes. We recommend having a second person help you hold the level while marking.

Can it hold an e-bike?

Probably not. Most e-bikes weigh 45-70 lbs, which exceeds the Cycloc's 40 lb weight limit. For e-bikes, we recommend a heavier-duty rack like the Toptrek Wall Mount (66 lb capacity) or a floor stand designed for heavier bikes.

Final Verdict

The Cycloc bike rack is the best-looking vertical bike storage solution we have tested. At $149, it is not the cheapest option, but what you are paying for is design — this is a rack you will proudly display in your living room, not hide in the garage. The frame-friendly cradle design is gentle on your bike, the build quality feels solid and premium, and the 12 color options mean you can match any decor. If you live in a small apartment and want your bike to be part of your interior design rather than an obstacle, the Cycloc is worth every penny. If you just need cheap garage storage, there are more affordable options.
